Job Description:

Potentia Search is partnered with an award-winning membrane technology company involved in water treatment, wastewater reuse, and potable water production. They seek to hire a talented Regional Sales Manager to expand their presence in the BENELUX region.

The Regional Sales Manager contributes to achieving sales targets set by the Sales Director. The role involves customer contact with new and existing clients in the Water Business, selling membrane modules to OEMs, municipal, and industrial customers. Generating new leads and maintaining a strong network with water industry stakeholders are also key responsibilities.

How can you contribute?

The role’s purpose is to manage and expand sales activities, find new leads, and develop lasting relationships with customers and stakeholders in the water segment. The Sales Manager Benelux reports to the Sales Director for Northern, Western, and Eastern Europe. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships based on trust, respect, and cooperation with clients in the region.
  • Preparing and submitting proposals and quotations to customers.
  • Coordinating sales activities and communicating customer requirements with other departments such as engineering, marketing, production, logistics, and operations.
  • Attending trade fairs and assisting in sample and promotional material preparation.
  • Maximizing sales and gross margin of standard products and components.
  • Negotiating and closing sales contracts.
  • Generating sales opportunities and leads.
  • Supporting engineers in customer communication during project delivery and implementation.
  • Providing market feedback on industry developments, customers, competitors, and trends.
  • Ensuring systematic follow-up of offers and recording them in the CRM system (Salesforce).

Who are you?

  • BSc or MSc in a technical or combined technical/commercial field.
  • Experience in a sales-driven role.
  • Experience in the water industry, especially membrane technology, is desirable.
  • Experience using CRM systems to manage sales processes and forecast sales.
  • Strong time management skills due to the role’s complexity.
  • Fluency in English and either French or Dutch is essential.
  • Willingness to travel for customer contact and role execution.
